چکیده
Waste Activated Carbon (WAC), as a typical solid waste, can be utilized by Chemical-Looping Gasification (CLG) technology with an iron-based Oxygen Carrier (OC) to produce valuable synthesis gas. A series of experiments on WAC the CLG process has been performed in fixed-bed reactor. The operation parameters and cyclic performance OC have investigated during reactions. Fresh reaction samples analyzed X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). To obtain high-quality syngas high carbon conversion, optimal OC/WAC mole ratio, steam flow rate temperature are 0.1, 0.10 mL/min, 950 °C, respectively. exhibits stable multiple tests, following path Fe2O3 Fe0.98O individual reduction process. Moreover, is oxidized almost its initial state after 10 redox tests without obvious sintering agglomeration phenomena. provides new approach comprehensive usage especially low volatile feedstock.

Chemical-Looping Combustion and Gasification of Coals and Oxygen Carrier Development: A Brief Review
Chemical-looping technology is one of the promising CO2 capture technologies. It generates a CO2 enriched flue gas, which will greatly benefit CO2 capture, utilization or sequestration. Both chemical-looping combustion (CLC) and chemical-looping gasification (CLG) have the potential to be used to generate power, chemicals, and liquid fuels. Chemical-looping is an oxygen transporting process usi...
متن کاملEvaluation of CuO/MgAl2O4 in Biomass Chemical Looping Gasification with Oxygen Uncoupling
Chemical looping gasification (CLG) is a promising method for the utilization of biomass to produce syngas. However, its realization is largely dependent on the use of an oxygen carrier with a high and stable reactivity in cyclic reduction and oxidation. This work focused on the improvement of reactivity and stability of CuO in chemical looping gasification via the addition of MgAl2O4 as an ine...
متن کاملSyngas combustion in a 500 Wth Chemical-Looping Combustion system using an impregnated Cu-based oxygen carrier
Chemical-Looping Combustion (CLC) is an emerging technology for CO2 capture because separation of this gas from the other flue gas components is inherently to the process and thus no energy is expended for the separation. For its use with coal as fuel in power plants, a process integrated by coal gasification and CLC would have important advantages for CO2 capture. This paper presents the combu...
متن کاملOptimization of Hydrogen Production by Chemical-Looping Auto- Thermal Reforming Working with Ni-based Oxygen-Carriers
Chemical-Looping auto-thermal Reforming (CLRa) is a new process for hydrogen production from natural gas that uses the same principles as Chemical-Looping Combustion (CLC). The main difference with CLC is that the desired product is syngas (H2 + CO) instead of CO2 + H2O. For that, in the CLRa process the air to fuel ratio is kept low to prevent the complete oxidation of the fuel. The major adva...
